I sent Hitwoman 19 to my editor on Monday and now I’m working on Hitwoman 20, which is both awesome and anxiety-inducing.
I really love how 19 turned out, but I’m worried that she’ll see something horrible in it (or not in it) that I missed. I was excited to start working on 20, but since it’s the next in the series, the events of 19 (there’s a BIG event in 19) have a significant impact on what happens in 20.
So it may end up that I’ll have to scrap my work on 20 if she finds a major problem in 19.
In addition to straddling the space between two hitwoman books, I am working slowly and steadily on PCM….which, by itself is also both awesome and anxiety-inducing, lol.
I’m JB Lynn, author of the Confessions of a Slightly Neurotic Hitwoman series.
I haven’t blogged in quite some time, but for some reason I feel compelled to now.
Maybe it’s because I’m starting work on a new series I’m really excited about and I want to give readers a sneak peek into how my writer brain works.
Maybe it’s because I keep getting messages that I should be teaching. I don’t feel qualified to do that, but maybe someone can learn something from me sharing this journey.
Or maybe it’s just because I want a record of what I’ve accomplished, because it’s pretty easy when you’re mired in the writing trenches to lose track of how far you’ve come.
Whatever the reason, I’m going to share my process, my progress, and my predilections for coffee and craziness.
I hope you enjoy the ride!
